Australian director Damien Power’s Killing Ground screens July 15 at the Walter Reade cinema at Film Society Lincoln Center.
The film, which premiered at Sundance, is the debut from Australian writer-director Damien Power and stars Aaron Pedersen, Ian Meadows, Harriet Dyer and Aaron Glenane. Damien told Deadline recently that he wanted Killing Ground to be an “old-school survival thriller. There’s a long tradition in Australian cinema about white Australians and the sense of unease in the landscape, in the bush.”
Damien, who grew up in Tasmania, has produced several shorts in recent years including Bat Eyes, Boot and Peekaboo and is a graduate of the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS)
