#screensparks: Mercedes Grower’s ‘Brakes’ to screen at London Comedy Fest

Mercedes Grower’s debut comedy Brakes will screen this Saturday May 6 as part of the 6th LOCO London Comedy Film Festival.

The actor and director’s first feature low-budget outing tells the story of nine couples as they journey via flashbacks from a breakup to the original meeting. Brakes was nominated for The Michael Powell Award for Best British Feature Film at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2016. Mercedes most recently appeared in The Nightmare Worlds of H.G. Wells with Ray Winstone.

The festival runs May 4th to 7th at BFI Southbank. Learn more about the London screening here.
