For the first time Australia’s St Kilda Film Festival will program a series of the best shorts from the acclaimed Tokyo Short Shorts Film Festival Asia.
The Academy Awards-accredited festival is one of the largest short film festivals in Asia, receiving over 5000 submissions each year and is seen as a breaking ground for the next generation of Japanese and Asian directors. St Kilda will screen a series of shorts over two sessions with the first on May 22 and the second on May 27 at St Kilda Town Hall. Shorts screening include Seiki Watanabe’s Piece of The Future and Toshimichi Saito’s A Warm Spell.
