#screensparks: garaño and arregi’s second feature ‘giant’ sells worldwide sales rights

Aundiya (Giant), the second feature from Spanish co-directors Jon Garaño and Aitor Arregi, has sold its worldwide rights to Film Factory Entertainment at Berlinale, according to Variety.

Garaño and Arregi’s film tells the story of Miguel Joaquín Elizegi who was afflicted with gigantism but was celebrated within the Basque region and throughout Europe in the 19th century.

The filmmakers previous collaboration Loreak (Flowers) won major prizes at the Palm Springs International Film Festival and the San Sebastian International Film Festival in 2015.
