Polish director Jan Matuszynski’s debut feature The Last Family has been selected to screen in France, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Austria as part of the new Scope 100 project. The Last Family won the Golden Lion at the Polish Film Festival and collected awards at Denver, Krakow and Lisbon film festivals in 2016.
Scope100 is a unique audience-driven distribution experiment developed by Poland’s Gutek Film and Festival Scope. “In each country, 100 active film lovers were chosen to build the Scope100 community, watch ten carefully selected films online and vote in each country for the best one, which will then be released,” according to Festival Scope’s website.
