British director Alex Taylor’s debut feature Spaceship will have a sneak preview screening at the London Short Film Festival ahead of its general release this year. The event will be held at the Hackney Picturehouse in London on January 14 and includes a Q&A with Taylor, who also wrote the screenplay.
The impressive and stylistic film, about a girl who fakes her own alien abduction and disappears, leaving her father to search for her in a strange teenage world of unicorns and black holes, had its world premiere at SXSW Film Festival last year and was officially selected to screen at the BFI London Film Festival. Taylor first made an impression in 2009 with his short film Kids Might Fly, winning numerous awards and nominations.
