The increasingly lucrative organization that publishes The Black List has officially revealed the 73 titles that form the list of best unproduced screenplays this year.
The annual list, founded by Franklin Leonard, is the result of a survey of more than 250 film executives. Since 2005, the list has surfaced scripts such as Wolf of Wall Street and Spotlight. Current awards contenders Arrival, Hell or High Water and Manchester by the Sea were named in previous years.
Of the list, Elyse Hollander’s Blond Ambition received the most votes. The script follows a young Madonna, who struggles to break into the music industry in 1980s New York.
