#screensparks:prano bailey-bond’s ‘nasty’ maintains momentum

Welsh-born writer, director and editor Prano Bailey-Bond’s Nasty is still in major demand by festival programmers, with the short screening at Leeds Film Festival next month.

Since it’s release last year, Nasty has screening in hundreds of festivals around the world, most notably BFI London, Aesthetica and Palm Springs short festivals. Prano’s short was also recently named in the British Independent Film Awards Best British Short Long List, which names the best 16 British short films in contention for a BIFA award. The short is set in 1982 about a 12 year old boy who enters the dark and gaudy world of VHS horror to understand his father’s strange disappearance.
